Bibimbap
This is a crochet pattern for a Bibimpap, one of my favourite Korean dishes.
The crocheted bibimbap is made in two steps: first the bowl and rice, and, second, the toppings.
You will begin by crocheting the bottom of the bowl, then you will switch colours to create the rice section – no sewing required!
For a more realistic rice effect, you can optionally add individual rice grains using a darning needle and white yarn (instructions are included in the pattern).
Finally, crochet as many toppings as you’d like.
The toppings are not sewn to the rice, allowing you to arrange them freely and as often as you like.
This Bibimbap is a lovely addition to the Crochet Food collection! You can find all my patterns here.
This is an easy-to-follow pattern thanks to the pictures step-by-step, and it’s perfect for crocheters with some experience.

The measurement really depends on the type of yarn and on the hook size you use. I used Cotton 8/6 for all the toppings, Cotton 8/8 for the rice and the bowl. The measurement are approx. the following (cm) H 10 cm / 4” (toppings included) D top 20 cm / 8” - D bottom 10 cm / 4”
