Big and Fancy
Included as part of Point/Counterpoint Volume 3. Two designers + two yarns = inspiration through collaboration. Each designer independently created an accessory, then sent only a photo of the finished object to the other. In response, the designers used the same yarn to create a new accessory inspired by the first, thus making a set. The only limit is their creativity!
Love generous shawls? The Big and Fancy triangular shawl is a dream to drape around your neck. Ribbed smocked stitches grow out of the center spine and add a little zip to the knitting process – it’s so potato-chippy, you just can’t wait to get to the next one! Finish off with just a little bit of modified feather-and-fan for a slight wave. The bold lines of the pattern mean you can work with solids, semi-solids, gradients, speckles, or even a bit variegated, making this a versatile project for a stylish look. Check out the Ayle hat by Clare Devine to created a coordinated set.
