Big Bang Vest
I designed this for the Fiber Factor’s second challenge to “knit inside the box.” They asked for a boxy sweater that used color! But since I am not a real contestant, I’m buying my own yarn, and the finished object is mine to keep, I decided I could bend the rules by making a vest instead!
This is inspired by Raj Koothrappali from the tv show Big Bang Theory. I love his crazy vests and have always wanted to knit one for my husband. I found a photo online of a vest that looked like it would work for my husband, charted the design, and knit it up!
This is mainly about the chart. The instructions are mostly just notes on how I made my own vest. You can take the chart and plug it into any basic sweater or vest pattern if you want to resize it. It’s not as complicated as other fair isle - 11 of the 28 pattern rows are a solid color!
