A worsted weight version of my Big Bear Ski Bum pattern, this one has optional waist shaping, and optional instructions for making it color blocked, like BB Ski Bum or solid as pictured. This version is a cozier, and quicker knit!!

As a child growing up in Southern California, my family often went skiing at the closest ski resort, Big Bear Mountain. This pullover is reminiscent of those active winter days and nights when our warmest top layer would be a woolen ski sweater. Taking its color cues from the 1970’s of my childhood, and its athletic styling from our current era, it’s the perfect blend of style and comfort for today’s active person.

The body is worked seamlessly from the bottom up in the round. The front and back are split and worked flat. The shoulders are joined, then the collar is knit. The set-in sleeves are worked from the top down, and in the round.

The texture patterns are both written and charted.
