Big Bird's Eye
by amimonology
This lace shawl was inspired by a traditional Shetland lace stitch called ‘Bird’s Eye’, but unlike Shetland lace shawls, it knits up quickly with bulky yarn on large needles.
Size:
Width: 184cm/72.4”
Depth: 92cm/36.2”
Yarn:
520m/567yards of DK or Worsted weight yarn.
Needles and Tools:
6.00mm 100cm circular needle
5.00mm DPNs (for Set Up)
Crochet Hook (for Set Up)
Waste yarns (for Set Up)
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle
Gauge:
12 sts & 20 rows = 10cm/4” in Stockinette Stitch with 6.00mm needle after blocking.
The Gauge is not crucial to this design, but still matters to the yardage.
