This rug was made using an alternative “yarn” source. You will have to make your own yarn for this pattern. I have included this tutorial as well. It is called “How to make your fleece “yarn” for knitting

This rug is super soft, plush and thick. If you are looking for a chucky knit rug you can find it here! This is perfect for any bedroom, bathroom, living room, or doorway.

I would rate this pattern to be on the medium to hard scale. Only because of all the hard work with cutting up the fleece to make the yarn and then knitting with it.

I would recommend having some experience working with cables.

Skills needed: Knit, Purl, and Cabling

Measurements: Approx 30 inches wide x 42 inches long

Materials: 5 yards of fleece fabric

Please note you will need the Giants 40”L. The baby Giants will be too small to hold all of your stitches. Please feel free to ask Tammy (the owner of Go-Girl Knitting, LLC) any questions you may have about your needles before you buy them.

You will also need a very big cable needle: Tammy has those too!
