This is a very quick and easy pattern, it is good for a relaxing chill out project as the pattern is very simple and once you have done a few rows you just repeat until it’s the size you want.

The pom pom edging is worked as you go along so it is a great pattern for using colour change yarn, as the pompoms will match the colour of your stripes. Unlike tassels or sewn on pom-poms, you don’t need to worry about them coming off.

The shawl in the photo was made using 4 skeins of Cygnet Yarns Boho Spirit, Harmony with a 7mm hook giving a measurement for the shawl of 71cm/28in x 200cm/79in (not including bobbles!) Great for snuggling in the colder months.

This pattern is worked from side to side, increasing until you have the desired width at the middle of the diamond, and then decreasing. To ensure you make the most of a special skein/s, weigh it, half the weight then use the first half of the skein/s for the increase, second half of the skein/s for the decrease.
