Make great use of the crocodile stitch by whipping up this exotic slouch hat. This particular stitch is classified as an advanced crochet stitch; however, once you learn how to do it, you will be a pro!

The hat begins at the top, where you will work simple single crochet stiches in continuous rounds. The crocodile stitch rows are worked all of the way up to the headband. The headband is worked again, in single crochet stitches, back and forth in rows. A crocodile stitch border finishes the headband flap, where it is also used as a button closure.

 Crochet Hook Size 5.0mm/H
 Three 10-15mm Buttons
 Yarn Needle
Stitch Marker

Size: Fits Adult/Teen head circumference 20-22 inches

Finished Measurements: Headband width 10 inches; headband height 4 inches; full hat height 12 inches

Gauge: 14sc and 14 rows =4 inches

• Sc= Single Crochet
• Dc= Double Crochet
• Sl St= Slip Stitch
• Sc2tog= Single Crochet next 2 stitches together to decrease
