Big Dot Mosaic
NOTE: To work this pattern with 3 colors, you must know how to change colors within a row.
• This pattern includes a detailed chart with stitch key and general written directions for using the chart to complete your project. If you’re new to mosaic crochet, there are many helpful YouTube videos. That’s how I learned!
• The chart was designed for flat pieces with horizontal (stitch) repeats, but not vertical (row) repeats. It’s ideal for a placemat, table runner, bed runner, wall hanging, scarf, or shawl.
• The pattern can be made with three colors, using the overlay tapestry mosaic crochet technique, or with only two colors.
• Two versions of the chart are provided: (1) a four-page print chart that you can tape together so you can see the entire pattern, and (2) a screen chart if you prefer viewing the pattern on a screen.
• The sample placemat was made with worsted weight (#4) yarn and a D (3.25 mm) hook, but any weight yarn may be used for your project. It measures about 18 inches wide by 13.5 inches tall. The sample is 94 stitches wide and 59 rows tall.
I hope you enjoy working with this chart as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Happy crocheting!
Elizabeth
