This is a pattern for an eighteen inch tall polar bear in super bulky weight yarn. It takes most of 2 skeins of Blue Sky Fiber’s Woolstok North for the body and 1 skein for the sweater, plus a few yards for embroidering the face. It’s a variation on my Little Bear Friend pattern, but made in a super bulky yarn instead of a worsted yarn. I designed this bear because The Yarnery in St. Paul, MN wanted to make a kit of the Little Bear Friend, but bigger, in Woolstok North, but it doesn’t come in brown so they had the idea for a polar bear. If you already own the Little Bear Friend Pattern, from Ravelry, then you should have this pattern as well in your library, and if you buy this pattern, on Ravelry, you will also get a copy of Little Bear Friend with it as they are essentially the same.
