Big Little Stripes & Squares
Who doesn’t love a fun, festive and versatile go-to shawl to grab on your way out the door? This pattern has choices - will you choose the “Big” version that feels like a warm hug on a chilly day, or will you opt for the “Little” version that tucks so nicely under a coat? Plus, there are even more choices on how you can wear it. And the colors? Whether you choose bold, high contrast colors, or a more subtle pairing, it’s a fun, fast knit in both sizes. Who knows? You just may find yourself knitting multiples to round out your winter wardrobe.
Knit on the bias, this triangle shaped shawl has a body of narrow stripes, and ends with a bold border of stripes and squares. The big version is large enough to wrap and wear instead of a coat; Cozy! The little version is smaller, yet just big enough to wear with the point in front, and wrapped around the neck. The ends are snugly hidden away beneath the point, and buttoned to keep it in place no matter how blustery the weather. Did I mention how the curved top edge hugs your neck perfectly? The little one is such a quick knit, why not knit one - or more - to gift to family and friends? So many choices - which will you knit first?
