Big Sister Bag
The oversized Big Sister Bag uses stranded 2-color knitting in the round and applied I-cord piping to create a simple yet intriguing project for any knitter. The hand-felting process results in a smooth and super-soft finish with a luxurious touch. Leather handles add a touch of class.
Inspired by a combination of Art Deco designs, eastern mosaic art and medieval tapestry, this fabulous tote with its figurative motifs and classic styling will stand out tall in any crowd.
Careful handfelting is recommended for a great result. If using a machine for felting choose 40 degree cycle or lower for this yarn. Merlot optional.
If in doubt knit and felt a small swatch first. To knit a colourwork swatch, omit purl rows by bringing the yarns across behind your work and cutting them afterwards before felting.
Nic would like to thank The Constant Knitter for yarn support and encouragement. Purchase yarn for the Big Sister Bag from The Constant Knitter online and lots of other great yarns too.
