The BIG sweater is knitted in the round on 5.5 mm circular needles in heavy worsted yarn. If it is difficult to get gauge with a favorite yarn cast on a smaller or bigger size than intended and adapt the size as you are knitting as described in the pattern. It is an easy knit with few effective details to give an interesting look and is a comfortable loose sweater to toss on. The sweater is knitted top down and have 3 different sizes so it is easy to costum fit as you knit to ensure a good fit for your bust and length of torso. The sweater takes between 400-600gr. of worsted or 708-1,062 meter. Neck and sleeves are knitted on 40cm circular needles. It is possible to knit the entire sweater on 40cm circular needles, sleeves included, but it is a tight fit knitting the body so changing to 60cm or 80cm needles for the body will be more comfortable.
