Big Top
Big Top is a study in garter stitch and short rows. It is worked side to side and features a nice scalloped edge when finished. I used bright colors and alternated frequently to achieve the “big top” look of a circus tent. It can easily be done with muted colors, alternating variegates with a high contrast, or even tonal colors for a more muted look.
The instructions include line by line instructions for the shown color changes. It’s a great starter shawl for those familiar with garter stitch and wanting to try something a tiny bit more challenging and colorful.
