This cool black and white biker beanie has a whole motorbike gang on it!

It has a special rivet-like corrugated ribbing. I was thinking about rivet motorbike jackets when I made it.

The special “feature” about this stranded beanie, is that you do not repeat the same motor biker all around the beanie but you have 3 different ones in different sequence around the whole beanie.
This results in a motor bike gang of a total of 6 motor bikers.

There is one rider alone on his bike (3 x), a rider with his girlfriend (2 x)- her ponytail flying in the wind… - next to him, and one biker with his dog on the bike (1 x).
The dog rider is my favorite one ;-)
Which one is yours?

The chart for the bikers covers 3 pages that you can put next to each other.

So you have a rather big not really repetitive chart pattern for the riders section which needs a bit more concentration to be knit.
You can also see the headwind.
As there are long sections to carry the unused black yarn with you, it is a bit more difficult to knit.
But if you just cross the not used black yarn every 3 to 4 stitches and do this at alternating postions in each round the strands will not show through and it will be easier for you to knit it, too!

The bikers are surrounded by a tiny pirate skull pattern.
The top is plain colored.
So the decreases will be easier.

For bigger sizes you can switch to bigger needle size (e.g 3.75 mm) or you could use 5-ply yarn or both and there are also some hints in the pattern description for enlarging it (longer ribbing).

You need circular needle size 3.0 mm (40 cm) for the ribbing (if you like a tight fit one) and 3.5 mm (circular 40 cm) for the rest of the beanie, except for the top: use 3.0 mm double pointed needles there.

Diese coole Bikerbeanie in schwarz-weiss hat eine ganze Menge zu bieten. Nämlich eine ganze Motorradgang.
6 Fahrer an der Zahl.
Aber das Besondere dieser Mütze: es sind drei unterschiedliche Fahrer in unterschiedlicher Reihenfolge:

• 1 Biker Solo (3 x)
• 1 Biker mit seiner Bikerbraut (2 x)
• und mein absoluter Favorit: 1 Biker mit seinem Bikerhund (1x)

Die Bikerchart ist also nicht nur eine Wiederholung des Musters eines Bikers und erfordert deshalb etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit beim Stricken. Die Bikerchart geht über 3 Seiten, die man einfach nebeneinander legen kann.

Ober- und unterhalb der Motorradgang ist eine kleine Pirate-Totenkopf-Bordüre in schwarz weiss.

Der zweifarbige Bund ist im Nietenstil gehalten.

Der Rest der Mütze ist schwarz auch bei den Abnahmen, die damit leichter zu stricken sind.

Für größere Köpfe könnt Ihr die Mütze mit einer größeren Nadelstärke und/oder mit 5-fach Garn (z.B. Madeleine Merino stricken).
Es sind aber auch ein längerer Bund und einige weitere Tipps zum Stricken für größere Grössen enthalten.

Ihr braucht:
3.00 mm Rundnadeln (40 cm) für den Bund (wenn Ihr einen engen gut sitzenden Bund bevorzugt) und 3.5 mm Nadeln für den Rest der Mütze, Für die Abnahmen benötigt Ihr noch ein Nadelspiel 3 mm.
