Bilberry Shawl
A lovely big huggable shawl. I made the sample in Rowan Cocoon and it is so snug, great for keeping the chill off on cold winter nights or outdoors on spring evenings. It is named after the colour of the yarn – Bilberry; the eyelets made me think of the berries and it all fell into place.
This pattern is relatively easy, so it is suitable for a beginner knitter. Increases are by yarn overs, the body has sections of eyelets made by yarn overs and the edging is a simple picot cast off. It is an easy lace design. Being bulky yarn it makes up really quickly.
I used 3 balls of Rowan Cocoon
When blocked it measures at least 160cm by 80cm
Now available in my collection of 3 Berry Shawls - The Berry Shawl Collection.
