Billet-Doux means “sweet letter” or “love letter” in French.

With instructions for making in two different yarn weight combos, fingering/DK and DK/DK, the Billet-Doux (Billy-Do) Beanie is sweet, fun and a little bit whimsical. Texture is added in two ways by using contrasting yarn weights and fibers, along with garter ridges in-between, taking a classic striped beanie from basic to beau. The fit is oh-so-slightly relaxed, it has aesthetic crown shaping and features a double thick, folded stockinette brim that creates the coziest, fluffiest lining of Suri Alpaca silk yarn.

TECHNIQUES: provisional cast on, knitting two rows of live stitches together, decreasing using k2tog & ssk
