This adult beanie pattern, suitable for the advanced beginning knitter, utilizes a simple concept to produce a unique appearance similar to that of a smoke signal. The beanie is knitted in the round from the brim to crown using worsted weight yarn.

Approximately 125 yards of worsted weight yarn is used to complete the beanie. The beanie is knitted in the round with 16” US size 8 circular needles and double point needles (or needles appropriate to obtain proper knitting gauge).
