Le chandail Billy est tricoté presque sans couture du bas vers le haut. Il présente un détail de fausses épaulettes à l’emmanchure, ainsi que des rangs raccourcis à l’épaule. Les manches sont relevées de l’intérieur du chandail, créant ainsi une manche visuellement intéressante. Tricoté en laine bulky, le Billy est une interprétation nouvelle d’un chandail aux détails modernes, mais néanmoins facile à porter.

Tailles

Le Billy a été imaginé pour être porté de façon ample, avec 25 à 33 cm / 10 à 13 po d’aisance positive.

La taille de l’échantillon 1 est S, et a 15cm/7po d’aisance positive porté avec un buste de 89cm/35 po. L’échantillon 1 est tricoté avec la laine suggérée.

La taille de l’échantillon 2 est L, et a 40cm/16po d’aisance positive porté avec un buste de 89cm/35 po. L’échantillon 2 est tricoté avec 4 brins de laine fingering tenus ensemble.

La taille de l’échantillon 3 est M, et a 28cm/11 po d’aisance positive porté avec un buste de 89cm/35 po. L’échantillon 3 est tricoté avec 1 brin de Petite Frisonne Bulky des Brebis du Beaurivage.

Le patron est écrit pour les tailles (XS, S, M, L)(XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL) Le tour de buste du vêtement fini est : (99, 104, 117, 129)(137, 150, 162, 170) cm/ (39, 42, 46, 51)(54, 59, 64, 67) pouces.

• Fibre : Urso Yarn Co Nord, aran/bulky, 80% laine Dorset du Québec, 20% nylon. 113gr - 160m, 175vgs. Approximativement: • (5, 5, 6, 6)(7, 7, 8, 8) écheveaux ou (656, 720, 804, 889)(965, 1037, 1122, 1186) mètres / (717, 787, 879, 972)(1042, 1134, 1227, 1297) verges.

• Doublée avec la Urso Yarn Co Lune, lace, 70% kidmohair, 30% soie. 50gr – 420m, 175y. Approximativement: • (2, 2, 2, 3)(3, 3, 3, 3) écheveaux ou (592, 650, 726, 802)(860, 936, 1013, 1070) mètres / (647, 711, 794, 877)(940, 1023, 1107, 1170) verges.

Les laines utilisées pour ce design sont la Nord et la Lune de Urso Yarn Co., tenues en double.
Je recommande vraiment l’utilisation d’une laine rustique comme la Nord pour ce projet. Étant légère, moins molle et ayant beaucoup de tenue, cela aidera l’emmanchure en « drop shoulder » à garder sa forme. Une autre fibre comme par exemple de l’alpaga ou une fibre superwash aura tendance à s’étirer beaucoup en la portant. Ceci étant dit, c’est vraiment une question de look et de choix !

The Billy sweater is a boxy sweater knitted almost seamlessly from the bottom up. It features a faux shoulder pads effect, and short row shaping on the back for a slightly curved hem. The sleeves are picked up from under the side of the sweater, resulting in an interesting statement-sleeve attachment. Knitted in bulky yarn, Billy is a twist on the classic cropped, boxy sweater.

Sizes
The sweater is intended to be worn with 15 to 18 cm / 6 to 8 inches of positive ease at the minimum.

The sample 1 is a size S, and has 15cm/7in of positive ease on a 89cm/35 in bust.

The sample 2 is a size L, and has 40cm/16in of positive ease on a 89cm/35in bust.

The pattern is written for sizes (XS, S, M, L)(XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL). The chest measurement of the finished garment is (99,104, 117, 129)(137, 150, 162, 170) cm/ (39, 41, 46, 51)(54, 59, 64, 67) inches.

I really recommend using a rustic yarn like the Nord for this design. Being very light, less stretchy and with more grip, it will help the drop shoulders to keep their shape. Otherwise, a heavy fiber like for example alpaca or a superwash can become really over-stretched with wear. However, this can totally be a look! This is just a slight warning ;)
