Billy Buttons the bottle hugger is 7 inches/18cm high sitting or 11 inches/28cm standing.
He is ideal for adding a bit of fun to your Christmas table or for making a gift bottle of drink that little bit special.
You can also use him as a shelf sitter or standing ornament – he is very versatile.
The pattern is clearly written and easy to follow with no complicated shaping or stitches. There are also many pictures to help you along the way.

Materials needed
DK /8ply/11 wpi in the following:
White approx 25gr
Red 10gr
Green 10gr
Black 25g
Orange less than a metre (alternatively you can use red)
A pair of 3mm straight needles used throughout
A pair of 5mm black beads for eyes or embroider
4 x 1.25inch/14mm buttons in the colour of your choice, these can be smaller but no bigger.
Pink blusher of pink colouring pencil (optional)
Fibrefill

Abbreviations used
K = Knit
P = Purl
St/sts = stitch/stitches
Ss = stocking stitch (knit one row – purl one row)
GS = garter stitch every row knit
Tog – knit/purl the next 2 sts together (to decrease)
Inc1 = knit into the FRONT and the BACK of the next stitch (to increase)
