Billy no mates
Billy has no mates – will you be his mate???Sitting 3.5 inches high, this funny little chap, will I am sure, be a topic of curiosity and conversation to all that see him.
He is a really quick, simple knit and made flat using a mere scrap of DK or equivalent yarns on 3mm needles.
The pattern is clearly written with pictures to help you along the way.
If you made him in a yarn of clay colour, and added a little nose, he would make a great Morph from the children’s series of times gone by.
Materials needed
DK/8ply/11 wpi in a colour of your choice – approximately 10 grams
A pair of straight 3mm/US3/UK 11 needles (used throughout)
Pair of tweezers (to inserting stuffing)
Large eyed needle for sewing up
Large head pins
Fibrefill
Abbreviations used
K = Knit
P = Purl
St/sts = stitch/stitches
Ss = stocking stitch (knit one row – purl one row)
Tog – knit/purl the next 2 sts together (decrease)
Inc1 = knit into the FRONT and the BACK of the next stitch (increase)
Please note: If you use any other method than this your stitch count may not work out.
