This binary chalk bag has a hidden message for those nerds in your life. The binary translates to “Just ones and zeros!”. The chalk bag is knit from the bottom up and makes excellent dog treat pouches or small cinched purses. The top edge folds over to hold the adjustable cinch cord in place. I prefer to knit them in a magic loop, but you could also use double-pointed needles. This pattern is for a standard-size climbing chalk bag (around 7 inches high and 5 inches in diameter).

An elastic cord, cord lock, and nylon strap are used for the closure and belt loop. The instructions also include steps to line the bag in fabric with fleece being the most effective at containing climbing chalk dust.
