This hat does well knit in two high contrast yarns. Peace Fleece is a “toothy” yarn with a squishy hand once washed. Any similar two ply yarn would do well.

The first part of the pattern produces a nice head band. The crown of the hat is added on after the band is grafted together. The pattern is also suitable for knitting a scarf (omit the 3-stitch garter edging).

Sizing can be varied by changing the needle size or type of yarn.
