Birch autumn leaves
This is the pattern to crochet and color the birch leaves
- This is a part of my autumn leaves collection, you can find the complete ebook with 4 other types of autumn leaves in my Ravelry store.
- The file includes 18 pages with written pattern (in English, using standard US terms), chart diagrams and a lot of photo instructions that will show you how to make them.
- Each leaf will take you about 30 minutes to 1 hour to make
- You can make and use these fall leaves as parts of a wall hanging, wreath, garland; attach them to a frame; apply them to greeting cards or anywhere else that you want.
Difficulty level: intermediate
MATERIALS NEEDED
-
Steel crochet hook 1.0 mm • US size 12
-
YARN/ THREAD: 100% cotton crochet thread #10.
This pattern also work for different weight threads. You can also crochet with other 100% cotton thread/ yarn and a suitable hook to make bigger or smaller items.
In this pattern I crocheted them in yellow thread and colored them using fabric paint. The coloring process is optional but it may make your leaves look more beautiful.
- Optional: liquid water-based fabric paints, coloring tools (brushes, water container, coloring palette, towel, tissue paper…), fabric stiffener
The full and detailed list of materials is available in the pattern.
Gauge isn’t really important for this project as long as you are consistent.
I hope you’ll enjoy this pattern and have a happy autumn!
