This easy to knit scarf is an ideal project for those who just begin knitting lace. The work here doesn’t require much skill and goes so fast! It’s also great for commuters as the pattern is so easy to remember.
A ready scarf drapes well due to its ribs. Scallop edge gives it ready look without the need for complicated blocking.

For this scarf we used ~50 grams/400 yrd Lace/2ply Mohair.
You’ll need a pair of 5mm (US 8) needles. We used circular needles as they are easy to take anywhere. To connect 2 parts of the scarf you’ll need a tapestry needle.

You’ll knit 2 identical parts of the scarf from the ends to the middle and you’ll connect the halves with the kitchener stitch. If you still hate kitchener stitch, check out this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWJzErobQmc and you’ll change your mind!

Our scarf is 140 cm long and 40 cm wide (55“ x 15”). You can improvise with the quantity of motifs to get a longer of a shorter scarf.
