Birdo is a character in the Mario series of video games. She/He (due to some gender confusion) was originally the boss from Super Mario Bros. 2. Since then She/He has been introduced in a few other Mario themed games as Yoshi’s counterpart.

This pattern makes a washcloth or square about 10” x 10”.

It is also a great addition to the washcloth set by Carolyn Lisle if one was looking to make an afghan made up of squares.
