About This Pattern
Named after its pretty Bird’s Eye Lace edging, this asymmetric shawlette is perfect for that rogue skein of highly variegated yarn that you don’t quite know what to do with. Loop stitch highlights the yarn’s variegation and is just as pretty on the reverse side, Bird’s Eye Lace creates a lovely scalloped edge, and a slipped stitch selvedge adds structure to the top.
Needles
4.5 mm (US 7) 40 inch (90 cm) circ. needles and 4 mm (US 6) 24 in. (80 cm) circ. needles.
Suggested Yarn
Ancient Arts Merino Silk Fingering: 100 g (3.5 oz); 437 yards (400 meters); 75% merino and 25% silk. Shown in “Rainbow Bunny.”
