Birds for your garden
Well, we all know how yarn bombing and guerilla knitting makes the world look a lot nicer! All these trees and lamp posts so nicely wrapped!
But I thought that my apple tree looks too beautiful by itself already, so instead of wrapping it with colourful patches I decided to give it some birds that do not eat my fruit.
The body is knitted as one piece, partly in the round. The pattern may seem somewhat difficult at first sight but there is no more than some increasing and decreasing, and plain knitting in the round. If you can do socks you can do birds. I have made the instructions as elaborate as I could and charted everything out in detail.
Use 100% artificial cheap yarn, like acrylic, so the birds can stand the season. There are plastic bags inside, all weather proof!
