I use a single thread for the scarf in the patent pattern to make it light and fluffy. The head should be firm and stable, here I use a double thread with the same needle size.
For the twisted fringes, I first wrap the thread several times around a 60 cm long ruler or a piece of cardboard, the exact description can be found in the instructions.
