This is a toe up sock combining intarsia and Bavarian Twisted stitches. I know, I always have to do something a bit crazy.
I designed this sock several years ago when I was snowed in at my mother’s house, with 6 children and no power, for an entire week. So I was going out of my mind. Around that time, Jennifer of Holiday Yarns and I were planning Stellar or Hubble photograph inspired sock yarn and patterns.
Then a friend of mine died. We had talked about the life cycles of stars, their births and deaths of fiery explosions.
This sock has a fiery beginning and ending, just like she had wanted.
