When my little twin grandsons had their first birthday, I created this pattern for them. Since then, I’ve made this pattern in a variety of colors for many celebrations: weddings, anniversaries, and holidays. I’ve added numbers or names to the cakes using other patterns, and up to 7 candles will fit on the top.

Materials Needed:
5 mm (US size H) crochet hook
Small amount worsted weight yarn in two chosen colors, and scraps of orange worsted weight yarn
Tapestry needle to weave in ends and sew together
Polyester stuffing
Stitch marker, if desired
