Birthday Cupcake Hat with Candle
Birthdays are a time for whimsy and fun. Now your whole family can celebrate their birthdays in style with our birthday cupcake hat. This adorable hat features a ribbed “cake” and a textured piped “frosting”, topped off with a lit candle. Makes a great birthday gift. Perfect for the kid in all of us.
Gauge:
18 sts/26 rows = 4” (10 cm) in stockinette stitch
21 sts/26 rows = 4” in 1X1 rib
Note on gauge:
Rib has a fair amount of stretch. The gauge given above is completely unstretched. I did this because I think unstretched ribbing looks more like a paper cupcake liner. If you would like your hat to be stretched out a bit more when worn, stretch your swatch before measuring your gauge. This will cause the hat to be a bit smaller, so the rib will be stretch out a bit to fit the wearer’s head.
