Bison Amigurumi
Once a common sight in the Midwestern prairies, the North American Bison (aka buffalo) was hunted to near extinction in the 19th century. Fortunately, intensive conservation efforts and reintroduction into their historic ranges has led to a significant increase in Bison numbers, though the population is nowhere near historical numbers. Bison have roamed the North American continent since the Middle Pleistocene, and their enormous roaming herds have had a major impact on the ecology of the continent and on the lives and cultures of many Native American tribes.
The 62 page pattern includes detailed step-by-step photos and clear written instructions to make an amigurumi-style Bison. PLUS there is a 24 page printer-friendly TEXT ONLY version at the end of the pattern. This pattern has been fully tested by multiple testers. Includes yarn amounts and hook sizes to make a Bison using worsted weight yarn.
Recommended for INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCE SKILL LEVEL. This pattern uses basic crochet stitches and more complex stitches (detailed in the pattern glossary).
