Bitsy Teddy is small enough for little hands to hold and cuddle. Her clothes are removable, so little folk can enjoy dressing her up, then Bitsy Teddy can enjoy all their adventures together.
Bitsy Bear’s head and body are knitted in a single piece with simple shaping.
All the pieces are worked flat and then seamed.
Bitsy teddy’s dress is knitted flat in a single piece from the top down and seamed at the back.
If you are new to top down patterns this is a nice first project, stitch markers help track the shaping. I explain each step row by row to guide you.
Standard knitting techniques are used through-out- however please be sure to use M1(make 1) when increasing, otherwise your stitch count will be incorrect.
This 7-page pattern includes full details to guide you through making up your Bitsy Teddy with photos to illustrate key points.
