Having enjoyed knitting the Bittersweet Cowl during a recent KAL, I wanted to use the lace pattern to create a hat. With the kind approval of the cowl designer, Megan Goodacre, this is the result.

I had in mind an older child as the recipient of this hat. And since this year’s selected school goes all the way up to 8th grade, this would be a good hat for a 12 or 13-year-old girl … at age when she wants to wear something more “grown-up”.

Lace pattern is easy to follow and intuitive so the hat is completed in a surprisingly short time.
