Björn
Björn - a baby garland with tiny bears and icord bows.
-
The pattern does not have a specific gauge, but the sample is knit in a tight gauge on 2,5 mm double pointed needles. Chose a needle size that is one or two sizes smaller than the recommended needle size for your yarn, so that you get a tight fabric were the stuffing doesn’t show through.
-
The pattern is written, with additional pictures explaining every step.
-
The bears are knit on double pointed needles starting at the legs that are knit separately and then joined to knit the body and head. The ears are knit by picking up stitches and the arms are knit separately and later sewn on.
-
The ties are i-cords with 2 stitches that are made using a crochet hook, but you can use your preferred method if you don’t want to use a crochet hook.
Materials needed:
-
About 30 g of light fingering/fingering weight yarn to knit 4 bears.
-
About 20 g of light fingering/fingering weight yarn for the ties.
-
Soft stuffing for the bears (you can use yarn scraps as stuffing).
