This pattern is for a super fast, super cosy, Super Shrug! We’ve made ours with three balls of SuperPhat yarn by Wulla but you can choose an equivalent super chunky yarn.

The shrug is knitted all in one piece. You’ll have a little bit of sewing up to do but not much. This pattern makes a size medium-ish sized shrug. Now being a Big Knitter as you are, we don’t expect you to stick exactly to the pattern. We expect you’ll want to use it as a guideline and customise your shrug to your body, so have fun and see what you come up with.

If you’d like to make a larger size you’ll need more than three balls of SuperPhat yarn. If you want your shrug wider, cast on more stitches. Blocking will also increase the size of your finished shrug. SuperPhat is amazing yarn, when it’s being worn it has a lot of give.

If you want your shrug to be longer (the bit at the back of your neck down to your bum) you’ll need to knit more rows at the start and end of the pattern (the bit where you’re doing alternate knit and purl rows).

Its all about experimenting to get a shape and fit that is right for your body.
