Project Description: Buffalo Plaid is just so appealing! Classy and warm this cozy hat will comfortably frame your face and enhance your look during the chilly months of the year! This fun to knit project begins with a provisional cast on to create the double hem brim and is knit to the crown with stranded stitches in 2 colors of worsted weight yarn and topped with a large pom-pom.

Size and Finished Measurements: Fits head circumferences from 20.5 – 23” depending on blocking and your stranded knitting tension. 21” in circumference and 9” tall (not including the pom pom).

Materials and Equipment: US Size 6 (4 mm) 16” circular, US Size 10 (6 mm) 16” circular and US Size 10 dpns; stitch marker, darning needle. Optional: 4.0 mm US Size G or larger crochet hook for provisional cast on.
Worsted weight yarn approximately 180 – 225 yards (183 – 229 m) in two different colors. Shown in Paton’s Classic Wool, Black (color A), 100% wool and Premier Yarns Alpaca Dance, Soft White (color B), 75% acrylic/25% alpaca.
