Black Butterfly Inspired by Olga
Over at the Irish Crochet Lover’s Group on Ravelry, Ravlery friend Sharon discussed making one of the butterflies in Mod Zhurnal Magazine issue number 533 (a beautiful all-crochet issue) on page 83. There was this butterfly pattern by Olga written in crochet symbols.
So that as the opportunity for some of the members of the group to try and decipher the pattern and make the butterfly.
I followed the pattern and got the idea of its construction. The last row uses the crab stitch which I wasn’t so good at so I decided to improvise. I also wanted a smaller butterfly with more holes in it. So this was what I came up with.
Note: This Crochetology.net pattern is best for crocheters who like to improvise and develop their own crochet designs.
