Who says countdown wreaths / advents are only for Christmas. I love a good countdown & so do kids, make one with extra pockets for sweets on the back, or, without. Add numbers for Children – or, not. Add one cat per day, or, remove them, the choices are endless. You will need a wreath former of some type: You can buy polystyrene ones, or, make your own as shown below
100g orange DK for the wreath,
150g black for the cats I used Stylecraft special dk
I chose to make twinkly tails, black works perfectly well - I used black James Brett Twinkle yarn
Tiny amounts of green d.k for eyes.
Approx 10g of yellow – or, any colour you fancy for the collars
31 black 10 – 15mm one hole black sequins – or, you can just embroider the numbers on the cats.
White pen for writing the numbers
31 poppers - 15mm
Copious amounts of pins
Toy filling
3.25mm double pointed needles
3.25mm long needles
Crochet hook – any size I used a 3mm one, as, it was to hand.
