Print out that one page on cardstock paper, cut around the border and you have a convenient shortened version of the instructions that you can easily slip into a small knitting pouch. The Black Diamond Warmer is a great pattern for beginning knitters looking to go down a bit more challenging trail or for experienced knitters who love texture. The twisted stitch pattern adds interesting texture without using a cable needle and the resulting knitted fabric is thick and cozy helping to keep in body warmth without bulk. Choose a tightly spun yarn for great stitch definition, or use an unspun yarn (more like a roving) for softer stitch definition. The green warmer shown was made using an unspun yarn and the gold warmer shown was made using a tighter spun yarn, both are shown side by side in the third photo. It’s also a great take-along project since it will fit nicely into a small project bag. A perfect project for taking on a car trip!
