This is the first in the “Black Light” series. While it doesn’t glow in the dark, it has a wonderful eerie blue-white luminescence under black light. Ghost is about 13 inches tall. I made the yarn brokers crazy with testing all the white yarns! I tested about 60 kinds of white yarns and found only 4 that had the right look. My husband suggested PVC pipe for the form, our local hardware store cut it for free. Alternatives to PVC tube are cardboard shipping tube or rolled cardboard. The pattern is very easy knit in the round. Knit from the bottom up, a loose fit helps the fabric drape. The bottom will curl slightly. So I made a simple yarn covered wire ring for the bottom so it holds its curvy shape. Black light bulbs are available at home improvement or lighting stores. Room must be completely dark for the best effect.
