Black Locust Mitts
These pretty mitts knit up in no time using your favorite sport weight yarn. A merino yarn like Malabrigo’s Arroyo gives warmth for chilly fall mornings, while the simple & elegant lace keeps them from becoming too hot throughout the day.
Construction and size notes:
You will need to be able to knit in the round to make these mitts- I prefer using the Magic Loop technique, but you can easily use DPNs if you like!
These mitts fit a ladies size small-medium, but do have a lot stretch to them. You can add in more pattern repeats if you need to make them bigger (the pattern repeat is 6 sts).
Errata:
The original version of this pattern had a typo in the Thumb Gusset Set Up- Round two should read
“• K1, slip marker, ˚k2, p1, k3˚ 5 times, k2, p1, k2, slip marker, k2” instead of k1
Big thanks to everyone who caught this- the pattern file has been updated!
