Black Mountain is a triangular, top-down crochet shawl with a simple two-row repeat. The combination of this yarn weight and hook size creates an open, lightweight fabric.

The sample is made with one skein of sock weight yarn and one skein of single-ply fingering weight yarn, in contrasting colors.

As an option, the maker can choose to use a third yarn for the ruffle. For a three-color option, see Yarn Requirements:

Main Body Color
438yds (400m) fingering weight sock yarn, 100% Superwash wool (approx.100g)
Border Color
281yds (257m) fingering weight single-ply yarn, 100% Superwash wool (approx. 70g)
Ruffle Color
122yds (112m) fingering weight single-ply yarn, 100% Superwash Wool (approx. 30g)
