These socks were originally knitted in solid black yarn, hence the name Black Ops. But these would look beautiful in any color yarn! The unisex pattern and five different sizes makes working up a matching set for two or more people easy. Black Ops are one of 5 designs in the Fast, Fashionable, FUN! ankle socks series. The stylish and comfortable ankle sock design means you can typically make 2 pair* from a 400 yd skein of sock yarn, giving you more bang for your buck. Instructions are included to allow customization in foot length and to make a longer cuff if you want more of a crew sock style.

This sock is knit cuff down, in the round and grafted together at the toe. The heel flap is worked flat, then shaped using short rows. The instructions are written for two circular needles, but directions are given to adjust for knitting on DPNs or magic loop method.

The sock comes with instructions for 5 different sizes: XSmall -- 6” diameter x 7” length = US Childrens 9-12; Small -- 7” diameter x 8” length = US Childrens Size 13-3; Medium -- 8” diameter x 9” length = US Womens Size 5-7, US Mens Size 4-6; Large -- 9” diameter x 10” length = US Womens Size 8-10, US Mens Size 7-9; XLarge -- 10” diameter x 11” length = US Womens Size 11-13, US Mens Size 10-12.
