Lovely cowl knitting pattern for cotton, wool, alpaca, acrylic or other cushy and cozy yarn.

This knitting pattern is a fun variation on the standard scarf. Knit as a rectangle and grafted together at the end to create a seamless cowl.

Skill level: intermediate

Techniques: provisional cast on, grafting/Kitchener stitch

Needles: US 7 (4.5 mm) needles* + crochet hook
Can use 16” (41 mm) circs or straight needles

Finished Measurements: 22” (56 cm) circumference x 9.5” (24 cm) tall

For adventurous beginners, I’ve included links to tutorial videos for various techniques, along with plenty of photos to illustrate grafting the patterned edges together.
