This beginner friendly crochet coaster pattern will and some texture to any coffee table while preventing those annoying water marks.

The recommended materials is cotton yarn 1 colour but this pattern would also look great with the blackberry stitches in a different colour too.

The pattern uses no more than 20m of cotton per coaster, so you can raid your stash and use up those yarn leftovers too - or go wild and order the yarn that matches your home décor to create the table setting of your dreams.

As this project works up so quickly, it’s an ideal last minute home warming present too - make a couple up and pop them into a snazzy mug and it’s a present that everyone will love and more importantly, use!
