Blackwood
This delicate crochet shawl uses basic stitches and is much easier to make than it looks. Perfect for that special skein of hand-dyed or handspun lace weight yarn.
Best in a semi-solid yarn with fibre content that gives some drape. Merino/bamboo has been used, but 100% alpaca, 100% silk, merino/silk or alpaca/silk would work wonderfully.
This pattern uses British crochet terminology.
