This design is available as a separate download or as part of the Subtle Sock Collection E-book.

This particular pattern from the Subtle Sock Collection has a special place in my heart, because it’s made with my New Leaf colourway! I simply had to choose a leaf colourwork pattern. And naturally, it’s called ‘Blad’ which means ‘leaf’. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did!

This sock design is part of the Subtle Sock Collection E-book. It’s a stranded colourwork sock, knit toe-up, features a gusset, shortrow heel and heelflap, and a twisted ribbed cuff. The pattern is written in a clear step-by-step manner, so that no previous knowledge of knitting socks is required. Experience with colourwork knitting is advised.

The patterns are available in six different adult sizes (women small-medium-large and men small-medium-large).

Gauge: 34 sts and 36 rounds = 10x10cm measured over stranded colourwork knit in the round. I achieved this gauge on a 2.5mm/US1.5 needle.

The pattern is written for circular needles but you can also knit it on DPNs.

This sock design uses 2 different yarns: Scheepjes Metropolis for the solid pattern colour, and Scheepjes Our Tribe for the variegated/gradient background colour. For the smaller sizes, you will need 1 ball of each. For larger sizes (women’s large and all men’s sizes) you will need 2 balls of Scheepjes Metropolis and 1 ball of Scheepjes Our Tribe.
