Toe up socks to showcase beautiful yarn.

My lovely friend, Susan and I were chatting about yarn colours and we got onto the subject of fruit. It started with watermelon, moved to passion fruit and ended with kiwifruit!! Susan sent me a “watermelon” which is what you see in the picture, I didn’t want to lose the effect of the yarn in a busy sock pattern, so the Blank Canvas Sock was born.

When you have special yarn that speaks for itself you only need a simple pattern. The toe up construction allows you to maximize the yarn you have at hand.

Blank Canvas socks use a Turkish cast on at the toe, a shadow stitch short row heel and a simple rib design provides a snug fit for your foot. Pattern is written for magic loop style. The heel can be substituted for any similar short row heel.
